> An independent European healthcare recognition programme that evaluates institutions on patient experience, clinical quality, transparency and international care standards. Recognition is editorial and evidence-based. It is not a certification, accreditation or regulatory body, and recognition cannot be purchased.

## 2026 award cycle — official calendar

This is the only official calendar for the 2026 cycle. No other dates apply.

- Award cycle name: European Medical Awards 2026
- Applications close: 31 October 2026 at 23:59 CET
- Evaluation period: 1–29 November 2026
- Final decisions announced: 30 November 2026

Applications received after 31 October 2026 may be considered for a future award cycle but will not form part of the 2026 evaluation round.

There is no application fee. There is no online form — applications are submitted by email as clearly named PDF files to awards@europeanmedicalawards.com, stating the category applied for.

## How evaluation works

1. Initial submission — documents sent by email, with the category stated.
2. Eligibility screening — legal existence, medical relevance and category fit.
3. Detailed evaluation — submitted documents, publicly available information and internal criteria.
4. Final decision — recognition only for institutions meeting the required threshold.

- Minimum score for recognition: 75/100 in the weighted scoring model.
- Core criteria weights: Clinical Quality 25%, Patient Experience 20%, Transparency & Ethics 20%, Operational Consistency 20%, International Accessibility 15%.
- Maximum 2 awards may be allocated to a single institution.
- No on-site inspections, clinical audits or direct medical assessments are performed.
- Documents may be submitted in any language; non-English files may be translated internally.

## Answers to common questions

**What is the deadline for the 2026 cycle?** Applications must be submitted by 31 October 2026 at 23:59 CET. Evaluations run 1–29 November 2026 and final decisions are communicated by 30 November 2026.

**Does it cost anything to participate?** No. There is no fee to participate or to be evaluated, and recognition cannot be purchased. Payment, sponsorship or advertising has no influence on outcomes.

**Is this an accreditation?** No. It is an editorial recognition programme and does not replace national healthcare regulation, licensing or formal clinical accreditation.

**Does submission guarantee recognition?** No. All applications are evaluated against defined criteria and the number of recognitions is intentionally limited.
